On September 28th, Belém will hold a classical soccer match: BRAZIL x ARGENTINA. So, I ask: WHY ISN'T IT POSSIBLE TO MANGUEIRÃO STADIUM HOLD THE WORLD CUP GAMES?
Belém do Pará has got one of the best olimpic stadiums of Brazil, but it is not included as one of the stadiums to participate of the WORLD CUP 2014. It's clear that for political reasons (and corrruption as well) the MANGUEIRÃO was not selected to hold any games of the international event. According to the FIFA visitors, the stadium covered 75% of the overall conditions to hold a international soccer match, but of course, a complete face-lift was also mandatory. The question remains: WHY WAS IT LEFT OUT OF THE CUP AFTER ALL?
All over Brazil, many cities simply don't have a stadium right now. They are going to be built and some totally rebuilt. MANGUEIRÃO STADIUM has held several international athletic competitions and its structure is definitely much better then many other stadiums in Brazil.
Alike all the other cities in the country, Belém is definitely not ready for a world cup, but that is not the point. The question is: how can you leave out an olimpic stadium when many other cities in Brazil simply do not have at least a stadium for the games?
ONCE AGAIN THE PEOPLE FROM PARÁ IS DISRESPECTED BY BAD POLITICIANS AND THEIR PARTNERS.
