On Friday 18th, the workshop THE MATINTAPERERA IN THE EFL CLASSROOM intended to bring about a discussion and reflection over language teaching proposals. Focusing on multicultural approach in order to develop a critical view over traditional approaches in language classes.Intercultural activities come up as a very effective way to turn language tasks into a more rewarding and meaningful activity for teachers and learners of english language.
In this video, we have a performance of two undergraduating students of English as a Foreign Language: Rousely (Matintaperera) and Evandro(Manduca Torquato, a ribeirinho*). The song played by a rock band named Mosaico de Ravena is a version of MATINTAPERERA, a song originally written by Waldemar Henrique. The performance in the dark is part of the scenery and the ambience.
